for king & country, “a drummer boy Christmas” tour
It’s become a tradition of mine to see for KING & COUNTRY’s Drummer Boy Christmas show every year that they have it, and it truly gets me in the holiday spirit more than anything else.
The boys had a short holiday tour due to their non-stop touring schedule over the past few years. Ahead of this year’s Christmas show announcement, it was made known to fans of the Australian duo that they would not be touring in 2025. So, getting tickets to the Drummer Boy tour was a huge deal.
Stops on the Drummer Boy tour are Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, London, UK, and Nashville, TN. I attended the first night of the tour in Los Angeles, CA, at Peacock Theater.

A for KING & COUNTRY show has been long overdue; I hadn’t seen them in a year, since the second leg of their ‘What Are We Waiting For?’ Tour.
I had never been to the Peacock Theater (previously known as The Microsoft Theater) before, and I love visiting new venues; this one did not disappoint.

Red velvet curtains draped over the stage that would soon transport the 6k-person crowd into a musical winter wonderland complete with twinkling lights and colorful spotlights.
From the moment for KING & COUNTRY came on stage to the moment they stepped off, the crowd was engaged and kept wanting more and more from the brothers who give their all in each musical performance.

When a show begins with confetti bursting out of cannons, you know you’re in for a treat, and this show could not have been better executed or performed.
During Go Tell It On The Mountain, Joel’s wife, Christian singer/songwriter Moriah Smallbone, came out to duet the song with him. She was awesome live, and her and Joel’s voices complement each other so beautifully. It was such a treat for the fans!

On this tour, they had a violinist, Hannah, and she was incredible. I always love when the band incorporates either brass or a string instrument in their live shows. The violin really gave a new feeling to the Christmas songs live.
I loved that for this tour, the first half of the show was just Christmas music, and the second half was more of fan favorites. I really appreciate how the band still plays their original music during their Christmas shows.
One of my favorite reasons why I love attending fK&C shows is because of the genuine love they have for Christ and that they truly don’t seem to be doing this for the money or attention, but for the praise of God.
I love being surrounded by other Christians, hands raised, and all together worshipping God with beautiful songs all about how amazing Christ is.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - I will never pass up or miss a fK&C show. They are always high energy, upbeat, and you come out feeling better than you did going in.

Venue: The Peacock Theater was fabulous. It’s a small and intimate venue with comfy seats and a clean environment. The venue was overflowing with staff, which made it easy if you needed help finding your seat or had any questions. They also had a few concession stands inside the two-story building, which made for shorter lines.
Seats: I purchased a VIP2 ORCH Left, Row B seat. It wasn’t a terrible view, but half of my view was of giant speakers. I could see the stage really well, but the drum set blocked my view of center stage. The guys weren’t on the platform a lot, but I missed them coming out for the first song, the beginning of another song, and the part where Luke’s son, Phoenix, AKA the Drummer Boy, came out for the second-to-last song. For an almost $200 ticket, this wasn’t really worth it, and I would definitely spend extra money next time to be in the pit (which is seated).
Parking: Peacock is directly across from Crypto Arena and near another popular concert venue, which makes crowd control and parking a problem. There is a parking garage near Peacock Theater ($30), but you have to go out of your way to walk to the venue because of barricades they have up between there and Crypto Arena.
Merch: I wasn’t crazy about the merch for this tour. I really wished they would have had some of the winter items from their website at the shows. They didn’t have any special city posters either; they did have a special edition shirt for the Peacock Theater show, but that was pretty much the only cool item. They did have the Drummer Boy Christmas vinyl, which was a cool merchandise item to have on the road.
Overall Show: 9/10. I have never seen for KING & COUNTRY this close before, so it was such a cool experience in and of itself. I’ve also never been to a show where the confetti actually was in my grasp too. The energy of the guys and their band was unmatched, as was the stage decor. The setlist was pure perfection too, but I would have loved to see them perform Priceless because it’s such a special song to me.
